This is a memoir I wrote about my family's experience in Uganda for eight years founding our nonprofit Faithfully Nurturing Children Academy. Published by WestBow Press, my book highlights life in a developing world and shares both the struggles and triumphs of life on the mission field.
While in my junior year at WIU, I led a team of writers and editors in the publication of a creative writing literary journal. Page one showcases my letter from the managing editor and page 48 features one of my creative nonfiction stories that won a distinguished award.
To further my coding skills, I crafted a website that featured blog posts centered around two of my favorite hobbies: food and travel. Using HTML and CSS, I was able to perfect the layout and design of my website to fit the content.
While in a digital writing class, I started a blog to showcase both my stellar communication skills and my website design skills. This blog shares recipes born out of my own kitchen and shares some of my traveling adventures.
